The Family Tree: where did the monsters come from?

It's important to know where you come from...and how elves and goblins are related. Humanoids are related all the way back to the beginnings of humanity...

Dhwergher: The Far Worshipped Mountain
We know that the Ku came from the hindu-kush. But the origin of dwarves and elves begins with something a little more protoindoeuropean. Oddly enough it puts them in the same geographic origin.

Instances of mountain worship
'...he briefly mentioned that mountains were still worshipped in a village not far from San Pedro de Atacama...'
'...recent incident surrounding the ritual worship of Süütei Mountain of the Altai range...'
'...Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Shintoism, and Hinduism all incorporated mountain worship into their beliefs...'
'...I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north...'
'...when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain...'
'...led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God...'
'...many tribes and nations ignorantly continued to worship and make sacrifices to mountains, rocks or rivers...'
'...of things worshipped by the Tibetans, mountains are holy...'

So what relationship do the Ku have with the Dhwergher? An Antagonistic one. The Ku are displaced by the arrival of 'humans'.
