Dungeon Mastery: The Turtleback Tomb

The Turtleback tomb moves slowly across the desert...

1. The doorway of the tomb is closed with a massive stone, serving as a door.

2. The tomb's floor space is 150 square feet. Inside the tomb, urns with the bones of deceased ancestors stand on multiple rows of stone shelves, in the order of seniority.

Thirteen skeletons rise one after the next from their urns hell bent on slicing up the tomb robbers. They are immune to turn undead, and have the stats of bone golems.

For the Dungeon Master: Cross Well stands at the intersection of the road linking Fort Doom to Luln and Westron Road. Since the departure of Baron von Blackeagle, merchants from Luln have been making the daily trip with hand carts to the Well where the Westron Road ends. Here they sell small goods to passing Adventurers.

There are Hawkers (Zero-Level NPCs) selling goods to a gathered crowd of twenty travellers.

Adventure Hooks

Elderly Verola is crippled and being pushed about by the Cleric Gint who latched onto her, sold her home for starting gold out from under her, and has wheeled her off on 'a pilgrimage' to heal her body and soul. She is terrified and unwilling to speak up but if rescued from certain murder she will point out Goeth who she recognized as wanted for murder.
Goeth, Henbry, Barlo, and Vant are bandits planning on robbing the merchants once the population of travellers dwindles. They buy a week's standard rations and set up camp to cook a hearty meal.
Coltus and Barkol are from a nearby Monastary of Grey-robes. They are looking for adventurers to clear undead out of the monastary crypt.
Gruselda is the only survivor of an adventuring party and is struggling to return home with her broken leg.
Jennai and Polk are White-robes Carrying a Message to the temple in the Capital city. They lack healing spells or they would heal Gruselda.

Conclusion: At 51% Nginning are the earliest named tribe in the Northern Territory group. This is the Dominant Language group that migrates to Australia. It jumps a gap at 42% suggesting any tribe that should be there is wiped out or migrated elsewhere. Its possible this is indicative of the migration of the tribe.

At 25% the NG phonetic group encounter and merge with the AL phonetic group.

At 22% the DJ phonetic group is encountered. That puts this event around 20 thousand years ago (the Podj-Podj being related to indonesian hobbits- though no possible use of podj-podj as identifier of that Hobbit group until 2%). Its a time of growth with three different peoples here (AL, NG, and Dj) along with these seven unrelated tribes: Dai, Dagaman, Wanji, Wadaman, Guri-unji, Wanjira, Aranda.

At 15% Wailbri are the first use of IL phonetic marker (along with AL, DJ, and NG). There are also: Burera, Mudbura.

At 5% the Anyula (carrying the UL phonetic) become a tribe. The UL phonetic is in use as far back as 25%.

Conclusion: At 30% The first Gods are infact the Goddesses Tiamat, Ioun, and Erathis (with an alignment skew of Lawful Neutral, Lawful Evil, and Neutral). Their fields are wealth, greed, vengance, civilization, Invention, knowledge. We can effectivly call these three Sisters and consider them the creator goddesses.

Only at 25% do we see the emergence of Moradin- the Lawful Good god of Creation. He is certainly not the first god, as the three sisters predate his possible emergance. Moradin is a divisive influence, giving the sisters what they desire- wealth to Tiamat, Knowledge to Ioun, and Inventions to Erathis.

At 10% the majority of young gods are evil, with only Bahamut and Corellon good aligned. This is a development peak for Evil.

At 5% the youngest of the gods are neutral in some form.

Conclusion: the oldest form is *A (Odia) Bengal and India at 74% though not intact. Oldest intact forms occurs at 54% with Ka (Lao), Kakka (Malayalam), Kaʻaʻā (Hawaiian) and Kaka (Bangala) based on the sound crows make, possibly indicative of regional accents (India-Thailand-Laos, and Hawaii).
If that is the case the inclusion of R from 51% indicates an accent for regions experiencing Snowfall (below zero celsius).

Oddly enough as I typed this up a crow flew up and made an "Aak!" Sound at me. I guess he didnt want to be excluded. But it cleared up something I didnt know. Australian Crows in the Darwin area make the "Aak!" Sound which puts them in the inverted crow speak origin group. No 'R' because it doesnt drop below zero celsius in this area.
