Forgotten Lore: A Poem

You probably noticed from a few blog posts how I put stock in the idea that phonetics that show up in languages clustered together indicate an older human history or culture. I include a poem I wrote in this post because every word came from an Indonesian dictionary. Every word included the phonetic: -ak. Once examined those words form a narative in the form of a poem - or perhaps it is a song. The story of a family of radish farmers taken by pirates and sold into slavery to build the great structures of a far away civilization only for it to end in a slave revolt.

A Poem
Father
Mother
Child
Uncle
Sibling
Blood relatives
Hut
Cattle
Plough
To cultivate
Radish
Muddy
Footprint
Crow
To scream
Pirate
To attack
To thrash
To threaten
To intimidate
To March
Deck of ship
Waves
To deficate
Musty
Sound of sleep
To drop off
Bald
Slave
To spear
rhinoceros
To tan
Stained
To sieve
To stamp
To powder
To extract
Mica
Silver
To measure
Radius
Wedge
To crack
To move
To erect
To dam
To incite
Revolt
To overthrow
To pull down
To destroy
To laugh out loud
Cheering
To scatter
A Poem.
