Taxim are distinct from undead in that like vampires they can retain some remnant of their human sentience. These skeletal walking dead with blue glowing eyes are high level fighters who will either establish themselves in some isolated location away from the living, attempt to head home, or raid. They have the ability to command regular undead as a cleric would turn undead. Even if 'slain' they will regenerate 1hp/round.


Notice to Adventurers!

Witnesses report encounters with walking dead with glowing blue eyes who have shown the capacity to speak, though this has yet been corroborated by reliable observers. I am forwarding a request to the Adventurer's Guild for verification.

I declare a reward for the capture of a talking skeleton and its delivery to Fort Doom.
