Mars Express: A Volcanic Eruption

 ESA are watching this unexpected volcanic eruption on Mars.

It's hard to tell, but based on colour at its concentrated Source, it might be Nitrogen Dioxide.

I don't know what that means...other than fertilizer. The Mars atmosphere contributes a lot of Redness, so...

23 October 2018 Update: in latest image the gas colour change to methane...

Looks like the NO2 reserves have begun to exhaust themselves and we are now looking at Methane.

Carbon based life down there?
