Average Anime: that was unexpected

For an animated series that deviated from the source Manga, Make my Abilities Average in my Next Life was a so-so Isekai. But at the end of twelve episodes it just droped a plot nuke.

The Plot Nuke: that unexpected dump of information that alters the landscape.

At the beginning Mine is told in a dream while unconcious that she didnt die from being hit by the vehicle. And at the end of the episode the Dragons excavating in the ruins get their hands on a nuke.
So what is going on? This ISEKAI just became a post apocalyptic nuclear horror scifi where all evolution has ceased and Mine was probably in a coma in hospital when the nukes hit.
