Conclusion: Beginning at 32% the gnomish names Herrifen and Blaif Rinnar predate the Gnomish gods in linguistic development.

Origin of the Gnomes
Herrifen comes with a -fen suffix suggesting a fen dwelling gnomish population. There is only one fen on the greyhawk map, the others being marshes, moors, and swamps. The Trollfens sit just below the Griff Mountains. Several generations later Foreman Fenrouse appears to be a significant gnomish leader's name amongst the trollfen dwelling gnomes. But Garl Glitterlode's generation sees migration to a Moor (found in the gnomish name Endoble Mistikmore).
Only the Rushmoors meets the requirements as a destination and potentially ties this mass migration to that of the Dwarves of Or migrating (before the rise of Orcus in the Dwarf homeland north of the Trollfens) to beyond the Lortmils, panning for gold in the Lort River. This relationship between garl glitterlode, the dwarves of the Lortmils, and the gnomes of the Rushmoors explains his rise as a god of gnomes and dwarves.

| System Pursuit Ship adrift in Space |
It has taken Vila decades to pull together the resources necessary to venture this far out beyond the Terran Federation.
The MK6 Terran Federation Pursuit ship he has abandoned has seen better days and is still in better condition compared to the Space-world built Pursuit ship looming closer every minute as he drifts across the void of space toward its hull.
The Access Airlock was easily identified and the ship breached. The original crew were long deceased, their survival dependant on the System that ORAC had long ago destroyed. Remaining in his space-suit Vila walked onto the very familiar flight deck stepping over the ancient remains of a long deceased crew and stared at the Ship's dead AI interface.
"Zen?" Vila paused, contemplating his alternatives if it failed to respond. "Respond Please."
Vila, last of the Seven, is not overly keen on dying like his compatriots. Rather his need to survive has driven him to salvage the most powerful ship technology possible.
Thus we have:
- A ship technologically similar to the Liberator, with an FTL velocity of Standard by Twenty, Auto-repair, Herculanium Hull, Zen AI, Force-wall, Battle computers, Teleport, and a Neutron Blaster as primary ship weapon.
- An aging Thief named Vila who knows its value to be beyond all the credits in the Terran Federation banking system.
But should it begin here, or should we write this tale backwards beginning where it ended - on Gauda Prime, and ending where it began - on Earth?
