The Strangers Mask
Discovered in AC2021 in the Great Crater, this levitating metal object is an immortal in Artefact form. An old Orc discovered the Mask levitating above the crater lake and worshiping it gained first level psionic abilities (Aura of Fear). It is slowly recharging at the rate of 1pp per ten thousand worshipers. Anyone touching the mask will be subjected to a 40HD Psionic Aura of Fear (destroyed).
Worshipers: Any humanoid in the great crater currently praying to the 'meteorite' gains 1st level psionic abilities as an alternative to cleric abilities (Charisma being the Primary Ability for Psionics) with the power of Aura of Fear (Effect: any prey of 1HD (DC7), 2HD (DC9), or 3HD (DC11); victim flees in fear 2d6 turns).
Any humanoid follower will have this ability.
Timeline: Once it converts the hundred thousand humanoids, the Stranger will grant its followers access to first level cleric spells as abilities of a second level psionic. Until then, psionics are limited to Aura of Fear.
