Star Frontiers: hypergate network availability timeline

The Hypergate Network Project (HNP) is concieved of in the 2050s as a means for human expansion out of the Solar System. With construction of a fully automated shipyard producing hypergate seed ships, Hypergate Seed Ships begin launching outward from the Solar system in CY2100.

Human-Space
Once they reach a star system, the Automated system turns the ship into a Hypergate linking back to Sol through an ever-expanding gate network. The first two gates link the Sol system to Alpha Centauri, the Alpha Centauri gate coming on-line in CY2650. Within another eight hundred years humanity will have hypergate access to over twenty five star systems, and by the Millenium, an expected surge to fifty star systems once the isolated Other-Space network becomes accessible.

Other-Space
While expansion beyond earth for humanity is paintakingly slow, entire mid to late stage regions of gate network are coming on-line in isolation from the Sol linked network. For any Aliens capable of travel within their solar system, the arrival of a hypergate network linking system after system out of reach of the human race can only result in the expansion of that Alien civilization as a rival.

That provides us with a different Star Frontiers setting... that makes use of my generic star map.

The Human Space Fleet
The Human Space Fleet is, other than civilian Yachts made up of three large vessel classes.

Destructor Class Vessel
Fitted with two forward facing Disruptor Cannons, each fed by a drive reactor. The mid-sized heavily armoured Military vessel is designed to wage war, pulverize Asteroids, and function with a small flight crew from the Drop-craft that serves as a plug-n-play bridge.

Curie Class Vessel
It comes with a slightly larger crew compliment than the Destructor Class and has a large Saucer Section capable of ejecting the reactors and their main drives and functioning as a landing craft capable of atmospheric entry.

Freighter Class Vessel
Though it comes with a small crew, the large cargo space can be modified to take cargo, colonists, or both.

The Red wave is a 'square wave' made up of planet yellow, and two more planets (one looks to have an orbit of two years). So lets add our 'inner system' planet.

At 68K its still a shity temperature. The melting point of Oxygen at 54K and Nitrogen is similar so liquid Oxygen/Nitrogen with Hydrogen Atmosphere? 0.15973 AU is the ice line for bernard's star so there isnt water in liquid form. It would be inside earth's orbit.

Star Frontiers: Mapping by Trade Routes

As we can see, Outer Reach, Inner Reach, Triad, and Rupert's Hole have almost total Isolation from the rest of the Known Worlds other than Triad's trade in Agriculture And Indudustrial goods with Kdikit and Gollywog (now there is a planet name thats gonna piss people off).

Gollywog is the most diverse in active trade routes yet it isnt directly supplied by Ag. Ships.
Lacao and Hristan both restricted to single Routes.
Hargut is supplied by PGC Ag. Ships meaning it eats a lot of agricultural produce though it has six trade route connections like Kdikit.
There are a few that look more like Moons.
Then there is the Closed trade economy of Pale and New Pale.

Recommended Scenario: A PGC Ag. Ship is stolen. It turns up in the Pale/New Pale trade system sparking a war over who controls Agriculture.

This seven feet tall black coloured beast seems to be an ordinary Stag (though three legs are ever visible) standing in perpetual shadow with a setting sun caught in its antlers. The setting sun is the eye of an ancient immortal caught in the beast's antlers for all time. There is a percentage chance equal to the number of hitdice the opponents of the Infernostagg that the eye will open causing death to befall all its gaze falls apon as a death spell. It will appear in desolate places devoid of life (usually because its gaze even kills trees and plants), roaming its desolate realm.

Examining the Data

You get a branch headed off to England likely through a merchantile trade route. The Ta- and Tr- prefix are both occuring in Annam (Vietnam as a French Protectorate). Thats a big ass trade route across which humans have spread a concept. It all seems to originate with Algeria and Spanish Americas where we can say that 'Tar' means Portion of Agricultural yield from a portion of land.

Tar+kus: is a combine of 'agricultural portion' with 'jar'. We get the word Custard (Kus-tar-d) from that variation. Custard originates from: 'jar of agricultural portion'.

So the Trump ancestry originate in North Africa. Ta- is a protoindoeuropean object (along with Sta-) I previously related to the 'exodus' tale. They will have genetic relatives in Europe, North Africa, Middle East, and East Asia.

Linguistic Archaeology: Where Ereshkigal, Minotaur, and Hercules converge

Ereshkigal is depicted holding the upper parts of Ankh in each hand. Combined, these objects represent the slave harness or the harness of oxen teamed together.

It is also a precursor pictogram for the B rune. So she is both ending slavery, and modernizing the written language by separating the old pictogram into new runes. Given the stem present in each rune, it looks like a bow in each hand: the broken pictogram now individuates as the runes ku (ku-ku) or rather th (th-th), though potentially both as ku and th (written upwards as ku-th depicting an uneven harness break and individuating each into seperate runes). Given proto-runic runes were written vertical on a common staff, this could mark the moment she breaks the staff and forms individual letter runes of modern horizontal runic.

They also possibly symbolize the archer's bow. So... twin bows made from the wood of the slavers harness from which she freed herself, or twice archery tournament champion.

These are considered for early babylonians (3200BC) to be the ud rune meaning 'day' (hence the similarity to the boat of the sun god Ra). So she divides two days into seperate parts, so she is probably seen as the goddess of the night.

They could represent long timber ships with round sails.

The individuated runes might have individually evolved into or from the oxen or cow head (flip the rune 180 degrees and it looks like a cow head pictogram). This has other potential links of relevence -

The Minotaur: If the bull head symbolizes the Mkun Royal Family and Crown Prince Otar Mkun (Mkun-otar-kuar) in particular she is holding the heads of two of the Mkun in her hands.
Hercules (Hkuarckulkus): which looks like 'prince-sickle-jar' and Hercules sacrificed two of his own crew feigning outrage at their deaths to get his hands on a pair of Mkun Princes on a Minoan island without a fight.

So holding the heads of two Mkun Princes makes her a powerful leader?

Its all in the interpretation but suddenly it looks like a bunch of backwards Bronze Age cultures went out of their way to decapitate the Celtic peoples that dominated the entire Mediterranean along with the Mkun Royal family on repeated occasions.

It says... Civilization, Religion, and History as you know them are a lie built on Genocide of the Celtic peoples whose territory you occupy.

Ruins (indonesian): runtuhan.
Associated words:

Runtuhan is therfore formed from the words runtuh + tuhan meaning 'toppled god'. So the geographic origin of the word 'Ruins' in indonesian language refers to a toppled statue of a God (specifically Tuhan, the Toppled God).

The island of Sulawesi comes with numerous megalithic stone statues that would qualify as gods, a few of them most certainly toppled.

Star Wars: Episode 9 plot speculation

Assuming the title of the ninth starwars is something along the lines of this, it is one that recalls this ad from dragon magazine:

The Campaign Pack covers infiltration deep inside the Imperial lines. This seems like something a certain Ex-Stormtrooper named Finn will undertake- perhaps to steal an Imperial star destroyer and some badly needed ship assets. Resulting hopefully in a final confrontation with Captain Phasma and the New Republic taking control of the remaining assets of the Empire/first order.

The Associated Adventure module 'Tattoine Manhunt' involves a clash between rebels and bounty hunters as they search for a hero (this makes sense for Kylo Renn to employ their services in hunting down Rei because she would detect his presence in a heartbeat). Why would Rei be on Tattoine? She needs a lightsaber and investigating Luke's origins will thanks to information from Chewbacca will lead her to Obi Wan Kenobi.  In his house beyond the dune sea, its likely she will find secrets of the Old Republic Jedi including how to make a lightsaber.

The adventure involves the obligatory visit to the Cantina at Mos Eisley Spaceport.

The Millenium Falcon will be Destroyed as Bounty hunters blow up Mos Eisley Spaceport to kill or strand Rei on Tattoine. Chewbacca will likely die on Tattoine as a consequence.
Why would Bounty Hunters blow up all of Mos Eisley Spaceport? The starwars saga has been escalating in meaningless mass-slaughter of civilians as an end-goal for the Empire and the First Order. Rei is also a very powerful Jedi. No Bounty Hunter could hope to 'take her alive'. 'Nuke the site from Orbit. Its the only way to be sure.' Seems a modern Mantra in this violent age and is likely a fallback position for Ruthless Bounty Hunters.
Rei likely makes contact with the force ghost of Obi Wan, and perhaps learns more of the Old Republic Jedi. General Greivous's single pilot fighter craft which Obi-Wan Kenobi aquired at the end of Revenge of the Sith might be sitting buried in the desert providing a way off world for Rei. There might be a spare lightsaber floating around from General Greivous's collection.

While this covers Rei being chased down by bountyhunters (Starwars always needs more bountyhunters), The Rebellion needs more ships and more fuel. So they raid the Imperial fleet. The Black Ice is the Imperial fuelcell transport vessel moving enough for the entire Imperial Fleet.








Finish up with Rebel Star destroyers and First Order star destroyers converging in a massive space battle above Tattoine and the destroyed Mos Eisley Spaceport should end the film franchise. Slaves in Beggars Canyon inheriting their freedom in the aftermath.

So some potential oddities of history:

Vulcan (Soda-lime-silica Glass? Cairn):  A mound of soda lime glass. If Vulcan was into Glass Making, then Natron which is used to make Soda lime silicate glassware is found in egypt and greece. In northern europe as available natron imports halt, potash becomes popular making 'forest glass'.

Or 'crown prince, sickle, jar' as in "fetch me a prince's head." Previously we have kuar associated with the crown prince Otar Mkun in the minotaur myth. So the head of a celtic prince of the Mkun family? He visits a Minoan island and having had two of his crew killed by locals replaces them with two minoan princes. So deliberatly got his people killed so he could get his hands on two minoan princes without a fight?
